The Free America Walkouts on January 20, 2026, marked a massive, coordinated day of action, with more than 900 individual events mapped across all 50 states and beyond.

Tens of thousands of participants walked out of schools, workplaces, and daily routines to take part in rallies, marches, vigils, teach-ins, and community gatherings.

Demonstrators protested a broad set of grievances, including ICE raids, military deployments in cities, attacks on transgender rights, and broader threats to democratic norms. Through marches, campus walkouts, one-person actions, and vigils, feminists used collective absence to disrupt “business as usual” and demonstrate the power of organized people.

Not just a day, this was only the beginning.

If you walked out, this is how you stay in it.

If you couldn’t, this is how you plug in.
